Program Description
This event is a one-day special education law and advocacy program designed to meet the needs of:
- Parents
- Educators
- Attorneys and advocates
- Health care professionals
The conference focuses on four areas:
- An overview of special education law, rights and responsibilities
- Tests and measurements of progress & regression
- SMART IEPs
- Introduction to tactics & strategies for effective advocacy
The program is not disability-specific.
